Dubstep

for this project I pretty much just created my own sounds with what i have learned in this class. first I used the half time drums. which i used in every other beat. it makes the song sound like slow and gives it that dubstep mood. for must of my sounds I used Sytrus, it has so many ways for making your own sound easily. I also used AutoGun for some effects that are in the song. then, for the wobble bass i tried to create a sound it like a regular dubstep bass, and i tried to create it with Sytrus.
For this project I used Sytrus for the most part. I Created a sine and a saw wave. i made my own pitch and volume envelope in both of them. By doing this, it gave me the sound that i was looking for. after, i add a little delay and revert in them. After that i made a main riff with AutoGun. then i created 2 drum loops, which i think that it goes with the riff. And just to add some stuff I played with GrossBeat, i used a couple of GrossBeat settings.

ADSR

In this project I learned what an attack, decay, sustain, and release are. For the slow attack i used Poizone. and i did this by finding a sound that i thought was good enough to hold a slow attack, after that i increase the "attack" in the amplifier envelope. I made a short riff that i used at the end of the track. For my fast attack i used a saw wave that i found in SYTRUS. I created a bass line which consist of "A, D, C, F, G". I used this through the whole track. for drums i started with a kick every beat, and then i used the hit hat and claps for the rest of the song. I also sent the saw wave to channel one in the mixer, and i played with GrossBeat plugin.
this is my track with slow and fast attack.

Project 5

I started this project by using Poizone. In this channel, you can make your own sound (s) by using two oscillators, A and B, a delay, chorus, and a filter.I was playig around with poizone effects and i made this sound (its the main sound in this track. I made two of them, pretty similar, but one of them doesnt have as much delay as the other one. i did this so i could use it to "solo" part of the track (used on the last section of the song). i made a "bass" sound to go with the effect i made with AutoGun (Chammels. add one, AutoGun). then i made a drum pattern, kick and high hat, two high hats in between kicks. in another pattern i used the same Poizone sound i made, but i added gross beat, which is a plugin that you can find in the "mixer". then in the last pattern i used the same poizone sound, but i played three notes every for beats instead.

Project #4 Filter and XY-Controller

in this project i learned how to use a filter in within the Mixer on FL Studio.
first i started with a drum loop which it just consist with 2 bass kick, a clap in the middle of a measure, and a mix of hi-hat. Second I used "SLayer" from the channel settings. I created a melody that i thought it was gonna go with my drum loop, and i chop it. I also set the sound to go to channel one on the "mixer" part. i created a filter using "fruity filter" and add an automation clip. After that I oppened 3xOsc from the channel settiings. I used the Riff Machine tool which is in the "tool" bar on the channel setting. Then, I created a XY-Controller by sending the 3xOsc to channel 2 in the "mixer" area. when you open the channel setting for 3xOsc you have to automation the MODX AND THE MODY. thats why you use the XY-controller located in the "mixer". it allows you to move those two filters at the same time.
and this is what I came up with:

Project #3

For this project I started by picking a drum beat (already made) with "FPC". I used that beat through the whole loop, and i used as my base beat.
After that, I used AutoGun (located in "channels"), and found a really nice sound that i thought was perfect for my drum beat. I used the chop tool and made it even better.
I also used "SimSynth" (channels), and I create like a background with it. i chopped it and it sounded good and it was in the same key as AutoGun.
I ended my loop by creating a "automation clip" with the Master Volume and the SVF of "SimSyth", which it helps you either turn the volume down or up automatically (with the master volume), and with the automation clip for the SVF it "plays" with the SVF cut, which this really cool and wavy sound. with this, i conclude my project number 3.
